Letitia Clark, MPP. Organization Founder and third generation Orange County native. Currently serves as the Executive Director for the American Academy of Pediatrics of Orange County. Letitia earned her B.A. degree in Political Science from Xavier University of Louisiana, a Masters of Public Policy from New England College and her Certification in Non-Profit Management from the Harvard University John F. Kennedy School of Government. She serves as a board member for the Tustin Community Foundation and an advisory board member to the New Leaders Council of OC and a steering committee member for Covered OC. She is dedicated to propelling professional activities to the next level for young African-American professionals in the OC.
Elona Brown. BPOC Ambassador. San Joaquin Valley born and raised, relocated to So Cal to attend college. A Biola University graduate with a degree in Communications. Currently a Specialty Unit Claims Supervisor at Mercury Insurance LLC and taking purposeful steps to grow and develop as a professional. She is so excited about what BPOC will bring to the OC.
Brandon Shelby. BPOC Ambassador. Brandon Shelby a
native of Orange County; a graduate of Cal Poly Pomona with a Bachelor’s
Degree in Human Resources with an emphasis in Entrepreneurship. With
a professional career spanning 12 plus years Brandon has worked for and along
side Fortune 500 companies such as Pfizer Pharmaceuticals, Ingram Micro, Robert
Half Inc, ADT Security Services, Chevron, Mattel, Canon, Fujitsu and
Target Corporation to name a few. His current role as the Assistant
Vice President of Recruiting at City National Bank, Brandon knows the
importance of building a strong professional network. As an ambassador for
Black Professionals in Orange County he is committed to the professional
advancement of all who desire to better themselves. A motto Brandon lives
by is…If Better is possible, good is not enough.
Zach Bell. BPOC Ambassador. Zach is a sales professional for Hanger 24, a Orange County based craft beer company. He has over 10 years of experience in the beverage industry and vast knowledge about sales and product development. Zach also has years of experience as a youth sports coach in the areas of football, basketball and baseball. As a college football player and alum of UNLV, Zach serves the community with his coaching skills to kids ages 6-18 on athletic ability, sportsmanship and healthy eating. He currently is pursuing is Masters degree in coaching and athletic administration at Concordia University.
Vanessa Ploessell. BPOC Ambassador. Orange County native and graduate of Chapman and Bradman Universities. Currently serves as a consultant for the St. Joseph Health System. Vanessa has a desire to rise up the ladder in the health care industry and is interested in serving on non-profit boards that benefit women, children or families in Orange County.
Latoya Rucker. BPOC Ambassador. Orange County native and graduate of Cal State Long Beach; La Toya Rucker is an innovative, energetic visionary with over 10 years of diverse experience working in the for-profit and non-profit sectors.
